Peaches!

We bought this cute miniature peach tree a year or two ago that we just love in front of our house. Today, I harvested our first peach crop.
We have 7 peaches in all. A couple are a little small and the earwigs started enjoying one of them, but the rest look yummy. We can't wait to bite in to them.
Mmm, don't they look delicious?!

Happy Birthday, Jarom!

Justin's older brother, Jarom, turns 33 today!! Jarom is such a fun guy to be around and as you can see a fun tennis coach, too. We hope you have a great day at the doctor today, Jarom. There's no better way to celebrate getting older. We're looking forward to some yummy red velvet cake tomorrow night, though.
Happy Birthday!!

Sweet kids

Sunday morning, I hurried and jumped in the shower before the kids woke up. When I got out, I went to check on Truman and this is what I found. These girls may smother him like crazy, but they sure take good care of him.
Today Ogden wanted Truman to watch a cartoon with him (he's afraid of being downstairs by himself). I think Truman enjoyed it a little more than I wanted him to.

Crunch Time!

Truman was struggling with rolling over (we think it might have something to do with 3 siblings always hauling him around), but he has mastered crunches. He does these all the time. He doesn't enjoy laying down much, so....

...we taught him to sit up!
And of course, Ogden won't let us take a picture of Truman without him being included.

Cute girls

I had to snag this picture of the girls the other day. They just looked too sweet before they left for school.

EISF 2008

The fair has come and gone once again, and I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures of it. Yes, these are about all we have. Clay and Jenn came home for Labor Day and since it was pretty chilly, we cancelled our four-wheeling plans and headed to the fair instead. The kids rode a few rides and we even got grandpa and grandma Ogden on the Merry-go-round with them.
As soon as we got off the merry-go-round, it started pouring rain. It was awful, and I only had Truman in an umbrella stroller. So we hid under the eaves of a building until it slowed down slightly, and ran home in the freezing rain. That didn't stop us, though, Justin and I and Clay and Jenn headed back to get dinner after we had dried off a bit. Then, on Friday, Natalie came and joined us. It was good fun, and I'm still trying to knock off all those extra pounds.

Aric's 32!

Happy Birthday, today, to my extremely funny and entertaining brother-in-law, Aric. Aric has more energy than anyone I know, who else could get a call on Sunday night while eating ice cream to run a marathon Monday morning and come out on top. All that energy must come in handy being surrounded by four girls. We hope you have a great day, Aric, and wish you the best when you leave for Iraq next week. Happy Birthday, even if you are a republican.

Happy Birthday, Zachary J!!

Today my nephew, Zack, celebrates his 9th birthday! Zack is such a kind-hearted boy who is so helpful and always wanting to learn new things. We hope you have a great day, Zack, and don't get sick on all of that cake.
Happy Birthday!
