Clumsy Me!!

So, this story is for those of you out there who were convinced that I was perfect (I know there are many), and for the rest of you, it's great for a good laugh.
Yesterday at church, Justin and I were asked to give the prayers in sacrament meeting. Justin had to give the opening which left me to give the closing. I know what you're all thinking, "I know how this is going to end," but just wait, it's even better than you think. Well, during the last speaker, a guy from the other ward called Justin out of sacrament meeting to talk to him. Meanwhile, we sang the closing hymn and then we all just sat there. I happened to look up at the stand and everyone was looking at me and motioning with their eyes to get up there. I panicked, I was holding Truman and thought, "Do I take him up there with me?"
I finally just handed Truman to Ellie, and turned to walk up to the pulpit. As I did so, I realized that I was stuck in the bench. Justin had placed Truman's car seat on the floor in our bench and I couldn't get around it. I tried and tried to move it out of the way, but couldn't. Then I thought, "Maybe I could just climb over it," but that doesn't work so well in a skirt, especially a wrap-around one. So, after at least 2 minutes of struggling and people around me trying to help me get out, I finally adjusted the handle on the seat and was able to maneuver it out of the way.
Now, you try saying a prayer after that happens to you!! I was laughing the whole way up to the stand and told myself, "This has got to be one good prayer."
After I finished the prayer, I turned around and the high counselor was practically laughing at me, so I hurried down to my bench with a huge grin on my face, trying not to make eye contact with anyone.
Then today I said to my mom, "You won't believe what I did at church yesterday, it was so embarrassing," to which she responded, "Oh, I heard about it." Yes, so apparently the bishop's daughter told my parent's neighbor, who told my parents. I'm so glad that I provided some entertainment for our ward yesterday, and I know they're all thinking, "Gee, now I'm not all that surprised the girl fell down a 9' hole."
I can't wait to see what happens at Truman's blessing next week.

Fat Lip (and some more pictures)

Today the kids were playing in the living room. They think it's so fun to throw all of the couch cushions in the middle of the room and play High School Musical. They sing the little School's out or some song like that while jumping into the pile, despite my constant requests to please stop and replace the cushions. The other day they used the kitchen stools as part of their jumping, and when they mentioned it today, I asked them not to use the stools. Well, of course they ignored that request and got out the stools anyway. They were walking along the stools when Ogden slipped and hit his cheek on the stool. He started bleeding and screaming and ended up with this real attractive fat lip. He has a big cut on the inside of his mouth and a huge bruise across his cheek now. I keep thinking that this will teach them a lesson to not play on the stools anymore, but for some reason I have doubts that will happen.

After taking these pictures I realized that it's hard to tell that his lip is swollen because his cheeks are so chubby, but it's on his right side.

These pictures show the bruise across his face.

I figured while I was posting that I'd add some pictures of Truman, too. If you can't tell, we got a new camera over the weekend. Love those warranties. All is well now and we can get back to blogging.

More pics

Over the weekend we went to Logan for our niece, Izzie's, blessing. We had a great time and some great food with all of the Manwarings. I wasn't able to take any pictures because my camera got broken last week, but luckily Gregg always has his in hand.

These two are about a month apart
Ogden and Truman
This is pretty much a daily occurrence. Poor little Truman sure gets lots of love.
